POLL Medical manufactures the GrayDuck Stent, a custom-fitted oral stent device for head and neck radiotherapy. The GrayDuck Stent is a patented tongue-displacing oral stent designed to provide mucosal sparing and immobilization of the tongue, teeth, and jaw during radiation treatment. The device features multi-directional tongue deviation capability (lateral displacement left or right, or downward depression) and maintains consistent jaw positioning across treatment sessions. Each stent is custom-fitted to individual patients with approximately 10 minutes required for initial fitting. The product addresses a clinical need in radiation oncology by reducing radiation dose to adjacent normal tissues while improving treatment reproducibility and patient comfort during head and neck radiotherapy courses.
