How to choose Pulse Oximeters

Pulse oximeters are non-invasive optical devices that estimate functional arterial oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate by transmitting red and infrared light through perfused tissue. They are used in hospitals, clinics, and increasingly in home settings to measure blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate , and are purchased by hospital biomed/procurement, ASCs, dental and primary-care clinics, EMS, and home-care/DME providers — typically as either fingertip spot-check units, handheld devices, or bedside continuous monitors integrated with broader vital-signs platforms.
